Arts & Heritage Festival

Arts & Heritage Festival - After a year off the annual arts and crafts festival, Arts in the City, will return to Main Street- but with a new twist. This year’s festival will be called the Uniontown Arts and Heritage Festival. The Uniontown Arts and Heritage Festival will be held on Main Street on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 11am to 7pm.

The festival will still highlight the talents of our local artists and crafts men and women as well as offer a selection of foods, entertainment and kids activities. The major change to Arts in the City this year is the themed focus of our area’s ethnic and cultural diversity.

The festival planning committee plans to celebrate the various backgrounds of our community by infusing the heritage theme into as many aspects of the festival as possible. The committee is currently seeking members of our community to tell the story of their heritage by sharing their cultural talents with the communities though dance, traditional arts and foods, lectures, theatrical performances, etc.

Please join us in celebrating our heritage and the talents of our citizens!
