Parking on Main ST
Parking on Main ST …
For about a year now there has been a no-parking ordnance on Main St, Downtown from 1200AM-700AM.
While I can agree with the two hour parking ordnance during the day so folks can access the businesses on Main ST.
The fifty (50) dollar ticket you get for parking when businesses are close from 1200-0700 is complete BS.
Do the greed of this city have any limits, there is no way to justify the high cost of parking ticket, other then to make-up for the parking complex that was build/renovated without a real need.
What city elects/business owners do not realize is that for every fifty (50) dollar ticket they give out. Less money people have to spend in the businesses on Main St /in town.
I for one have made it my business to spend my money elsewhere out of Uniontown…I even fill-up in other areas.

Comment by randy l. shipley sr. on November 27, 2009 at 1:09pm - i agree 100% chris i too have complained about hardy's parking issue one day i saw traffic backed up and a ambulance trying to get thru but couldn't because of one lane i hope the person made it ok. hardy is gone and so should the on street parking . that fanatical idea of the parking garage is a loser, money wise and other who wants to park at night next to gallatin avenue area
