Press Release:
With Veterans Day soon approaching, now is the ideal time to support our troops!
Over a quarter of a million U.S. troops are currently deployed overseas. Western Pennsylvanian counties possess some of the highest per-capita rates of National Guard and Reserves deployed in the nation. At times troops return home with wounds that are not physically visible. A great deal of returning war veterans develop mental health issues that continue post combat. Measures are being taken to not only help those with these issues, but to prevent them in the future. If you live in BUTLER, CAMBRIA, FAYETTE, LAWRENCE, SOMERSET, or VENANGO counties, you can help!
All you have to do is fill out an anonymous survey for the Combat Stress Intervention Program. This community assessment will measure public awareness and enable actions to remove treatment barriers for those suffering from combat stress. The survey requires no personal information regarding your identity and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
To participate please go to www.conemaugh.org and select the ‘Support Our Troops button’.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Together, we can continue to support our men and women in the armed forces.
Sincerely,
The John P. Murtha Neuroscience & Pain Institute
